The Trap

Kannu dear and Tintu mouse were the best friend. They lived in a dense foret along with other animals like Bholu Donkey, Chitti fox, Coco monkey, Gajju elephant, Shera lion and many other animals. They all lived with love and harmony. Gajju and Shera took care of the safety of the jungle from the poachers. Zeta eagle and Mitthu parrot were the spies of the jungle. They flew for miles everyday and gathered information about the hunters and gave it to the king Shera every evening. Chintu owl was the wisest bird so he was appointed as the minister of the jungle. Chintu was on duty every night when all the animals fell asleep. Once a group of hunters entered into the forest. Zeta and Mitthu heared one of hunters saying, “This forest is full of various animals and birds.” ‘Yes, I, too, have heared of it, “said the other hunter. Now their leader said, “ Tody we will tak rest outside the forest and will enter the forest tomorrow in the morning.” They all laughed together and unloaded their bags and tents from the jeeps. Zeta and Mitthu rushed hurriedly to the jungle. They found chintu on their way and told him everything. Chintu said, “ Both of you give this information to the king and in the meantime I will inform the other animals. “They informed all the animals but could not inform Kannu and Tintu as they were seen nowhere.  Next morning, Chintu told the king that Kannu deer was caught in a trapo by the poachers. Now all the animals worried. Suddenly Tintu said, “ Need not to worry. I will save my friend”. He rushed towards the trap and gnawed away as it while the hunters were setting the other traps. By this mean time all the animals hid themselves at the proper places. Just then, Shera roared and Gajju trumpted loudly with anger . All the poachers got scared and left the forest, never to come back.
